About our founder and group missions

About Us

Bikers and Bunnies was founded in July 2022 by Mary Beth Wrenn with the vision of uniting motorcycle enthusiasts through their shared love of riding and freedom. Her goal was to foster community, encourage togetherness, organize rides, and provide safety education and resources for bikers of all experience levels.

Sadly, shortly after the group began, “E” passed away before the dream could be fully realized. In her loving memory, we have embraced the mission and are committed to carrying it forward. Today, Bikers and Bunnies continues to grow as a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our local communities and honoring the dreams on which it was built.

Our Vision

In honor of Mary Beth “E”’s vision, Bikers and Bunnies is committed to hosting events that foster community, enjoyment, education, and safety. Our mission includes extending resources to bikers in need and offering scholarships to new riders so they can complete certified safety courses. We also strive to provide essential items such as safety equipment, food, and other support for those facing challenges. Above all, our goal is to carry forward Mary Beth’s enduring passion for helping others and strengthening the biker community.

ncbikersandbunnies.org's Mission

Bikers and Bunnies is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to embodying the spirit of community and the legacy of our founder, Mary Beth Wrenn. We aim to educate, enrich, and assist our community by breaking negative stereotypes and highlighting the compassionate heart of the biker culture. We achieve this by providing aid to injured riders, offering scholarships for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, and hosting diverse, family-friendly events—from providing school supplies to organizing awareness rides and community festivals.

Cookie (director)

Cookie inherited Bikers and Bunnies upon Mary Beth's passing and has worked hard to make her vision of the group live on. We became a non profit organization so that we continue to let Mary Beth's energy and love and vision blossom into all that she wanted it to be by providing help to those we can and to help promote safety, education, and togetherness. Mary Beth was a very close friend of Cookies and she hopes that she can accomplish all and more that Mary Beth wanted with the group.

Rowdy (co-director)

Rowdy was also a very close friend of Mary Beth's and one of the first she contacted to help her with the group before her passing. Rowdy continues to help us as we keep Mary Beth's vision alive and growing.
